Hello! My name is Brittany Woodley, and I am originally from Greenville, Mississippi.  I am a licensed independent clinical social worker and a board certified supervisor for the state of Texas and the state of Ohio. I have several years of experience providing psychosocial case management services, crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, bio-psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, care coordination, mental health and substance abuse treatment, diagnosing (according to the DSM-5) and social work clinical supervision.

I’m a proud two-time alumna of The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) where I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work.

I currently work with the Department of Veteran Affairs as a Senior Social Worker, and I am a Behavioral Health Officer in the U.S. Army National Guard. Additionally, I am an Adjunct Professor of Social Work in the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University JMSW program.

The Empowering Space, PLLC was created based on the tremendous need for high quality, accessible mental health services for millennials, as well as the need for more diversity among mental health professionals. I am passionate about mental health access and awareness, and my goal is to empower people to address and overcome any barriers that keep them from being the best version of themselves.

I am licensed to serve clients in the states of Texas and Ohio, but The Empowering Space has a team of clinicians also licensed in Mississippi and Tennessee. Visit the Our Team tab to learn more about our clinicians!

Thank you for stopping by, I hope to work with you soon!
